Swami Vivekananda was a Hindu monk and one of
the most spiritual leaders of India.
He was born on January12, 1863 in Calcutta. He
was born as Narendranath Dutta into a Bengali family in Culcutta. Narendranath
was one of the eight children of Vishwanath Dutta and Bhuvaneshwari Devi.
As a young boy Vivekananda was a brilliant student
in school days and his mischievous nature believe his interest in music, art,
literature.
In the 19th century, Swami
Vivekananda was raising the awareness
regarding interfaith and Hinduism to the status of a major world region. Swami
Vivekananda contributed at large to the concept of Vedanta philosophies and
Yoga to the western world.
